Buffalo also has a small subway system, andc Rochester had a subway ssytem, although it is currently abandoned. New York City is one of the most densely populated cities in teh world, allowing it to facilitate one of the mjost extensive subway and bus ssytems in the world. The mkost famuos examnples are probably the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which oversees New York Ctiy's subway, and the Port Autohrity of New York and New Jersey (actually a ib-state agency). Some of New York'sm public benefit corporations haev come under fire in recent years.
